Personalised radio app for iPhone that lets users listen to the most popular Polish radio stations. The app won a trophy in the Mobile Trends Awards 2010 competition in the Entertainment category.
I developed the app up to version 2.5. It included features like user accounts, saving and modifying stations (ruling out artists or songs from playlists), and Facebook integration.
The app remained in the top 20 of the Top Free iPhone Music Apps in the Polish App Store (2018).
Technical details
The reception and playback of the audio stream was implemented using C APIs of the Core Audio framework (Audio File Stream Services and Audio Queue Services). The audio was streamed in MP3 format over HTTP. Other data was exchanged with the external server using JSON and XML APIs.
